Industry: Aerospace

ILA Berlin 2026

ILA Berlin is held every other year at the Berlin ExpoCenter Airport as a joint venture between the German Aerospace Industries Association (BDLI) and Messe Berlin.

ILA Berlin is the largest international aerospace gathering in the European Union in 2026, when decision-makers from business, industry, military, science, research, and government from all over the world will gather in Berlin.

ILA Berlin is one of the world’s most innovative and influential aerospace events, highlighting the latest technologies in the areas of aviation, space, and defense.

ILA Berlin is interdisciplinary in scope and global in scale, where established companies as well as cutting-edge startups present the latest innovations and developments to the global aerospace industry.

Aviation

More sustainable, quieter and safer

Only sustainable aviation will ensure mobility and climate protection in the long term and retain the “license to operate”. Thus, the global aerospace industry is researching and developing new technologies to make air travel more sustainable, quieter – and even safer.

The next aircraft generation may already be climate neutral, and aircraft, engines, systems, and equipment that are quieter, cleaner, safer, and more comfortable than their predecessors are enjoying success in the global market. ILA Berlin 2024 will demonstrate how to achieve zero emissions in concrete terms through the latest aerospace models, safer, more sustainable, and quieter than ever before – the future of flying today.

While traffic volumes will significantly increase, the international community of nations and the aviation industry have pledged to achieve climate-neutral growth and reduce net CO² emissions by half by 2050 with the long-term goal of climate-neutral flying.

Space Technology

International cooperation like no other industry

Investment in space technology is growing fast, driven by the endless possibilities and rapidly evolving advances in technology. Many problems on Earth may be solved through space technology innovations, and key stakeholders from around the world gather at ILA Berlin, Europe’s largest space exhibition to discuss hot topics like digitization, big data, precise navigation for intelligent mobility, space security, satellites for telecommunications and Earth observation for climate protection, sustainability, energy, astronautical or robotic missions, and spaceflight commercialization.

Defense and Security

The role and needs of armed forces today and tomorrow

European military cooperates with partners across the world on projects worth billions, and defense procurement programs are one of the top issues at ILA Berlin. Exhibitors engage in discussions with delegations expected from over 100 nations, high-ranking officials from the military, leading politicians working on defense and security issues, as well as defense and cyber security industry experts, about industry cooperation projects and the role and needs of the armed forces today and in the future.

Aerospace Supply Chain

Networking and matchmaking

The supply chain is the backbone of the aerospace industry, and the International Supplier Center ISC at ILA Berlin is where over 300 exhibitors, both large and small, from international industry leaders to highly specialized companies, make important business contacts, find clients and partners, and network with OEM purchasing managers and other key stakeholders during three B2B-only days, offering Matchmaking for pre-arranged meetings between suppliers and buyers.
